Since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, Polyakova has been deeply involved in charity work: she pulled in donations for drones for the Ukrainian army, donated an ambulance to frontline military medics and raised six-digits sums in euros for tactical medicine and evacuation vehicles for the military. Olya Polyakova’s big solo concert is the headline event of the Voice of Ukraine — the third edition of the club festival that started in Stockholm in 2023 as an expression of solidarity with Ukraine. Three years after the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, Voice of Ukraine is a showcase of contemporary Ukrainian pop music, poetry, and visual art in Stockholm: for each and every Stockholmer who stands with Ukraine. Previous editions of the festival have featured performances by Kazka, Alyona Alyona, Jerry Heil, Gordiy Starukh, Kateryna Kisten, Oleh Skrypka and Vopli Vidoplyasova, among others.
Ukraine is a true musical superpower, a country with vast and diverse talent. The festival’s ambition is to present top-tier Ukrainian music to audiences in Stockholm and across Sweden. More names will be announced soon!
