The brand new dance club Bamba Club brings you steaming hot, sexy DJ sets that leave the dancefloor sticky icky icky and make you move your body AND mind!
Organized by club veterans Olof Dreijer and George Chamoun and premiering on Saturday, June 17th, the aim is to bring back real dance music and create a space that focuses heavily on DANCE DANCE and DANCE — something that we feel is missing in Stockholm.
With genres like Jersey Club, Ballroom, Kuduro, SWANA beats, Batida, House and Dancehall pumping through the speakers, it will be difficult to sit still for more than the amount of time it takes to drink a glass of ice cold water!
During this special evening, there will be a sneak premiere for new solo material by Olof Dreijer (The Knife) which will be released officially later this fall. Olof has also produced Diva Cruz’s new solo project, who will be performing this evening.
Diva Cruz, originally from Colombia but now Stockholm based, has previously been a percussionist for, among others, Robyn and Fever Ray, and played in several Salsa bands. She now sings and raps in Spanish with beats by Olof Dreijer, Dijle Yigitbas and Tayhana.
The Swedish-Lebanese club organizer and DJ Rasuul (George Chamoun) has initiated several club initiatives focusing on queer and progressive culture in Stockholm in recent years, apart from working as a booker. His DJ sets are usually characterized by a genre-fluid mix where everything from Jersey Cub and Dancehall is blended with Ballroom and Kuduro.
DieselDanno is a Stockholm-based DJ providing the club scene with genderfucking & genrefucking beats. Resident DJ and one of the founders of queer club Fantasia, DieselDanno has been in the club scene for several years playing at clubs and underground raves like Trädgården/Under Bron, FOMO, Södra Teatern among several.
